Abstract

From its origins in workshops and panel discussions to its emergence as an international association, Computing and Philosophy Conferences have been a central meeting place for all those interested in the computational turn that is taking place within the field of Philosophy. This history of CAP will outline the historical and theoretical background for the conferences and provide the audience with an overview of the major themes that have arisen over the past 17 years.
